Chuck LesnickCity Council President
As the newly elected City Council President, Chuck Lesnick is dedicated to bringing accountability, transparency, ingenuity and honest leadership to Yonkers. Chuck works for a more open government of qualified professionals, he is dedicated to fixing wasteful government spending to help insure the future prosperity of The City of Yonkers.
Longtime Yonkers community activists and lifelong Democrats, Chuck and his wife, Dr. Beth Schorr-Lesnick have two daughters, Emily and Ariel. A highly qualified leader and planner, Chuck holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Yale, a Masters in Urban & Regional Planning from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public & International Affairs at Princeton and a J.D. from the NYU School of Law.
Patricia D. Mc Dow
- Majority Leader1st District City Council
Patricia D. McDow represents part of the southwest section of Yonkers, which is referred to as the First Council District. A native New Yorker who was born in Brooklyn and raised in Manhattan & the North Bronx, Patricia attended New York City public schools. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY New Paltz in Early Education N-6 and her Master of Arts Degree from C.W. Post College in Speech Pathology and Audiology. 3rd District City Council
Joan Gronowski is a lifelong Yonkers resident, born and raised on Hawthorne Avenue. She has lived in the 3rd district for most of her life, and is the daughter of Catherine O’Lear Gronowski and the late Adolph “Ski” Gronowski, a First Sergeant in WWII and 30-year employee of the Otis Elevator Company. Joan attended St. Mary’s Parochial School and Blessed Sacrament Academy High School, beginning her employment with the City of Yonkers shortly thereafter.
Wilson A. Terrero2nd District City Council
Wilson A. Terreo was born in the Dominican Republic in a small town called Las Matas de Ferfan located in the Southwestern Province of San Juan de la Maguana. After graduating, he became an employee of Mercy College and held the position of Database Administrator for the Alumni Development Office for four years. After leaving Mercy College, he went to work in his family business and began to invest in Real Estate. He is the president and founder of Terrero Realty, LLC. Wilson Terrero is happily married to Dr. Madeleine Almonte. They have a beautiful daughter, Aileen. He is a role model to many in his community and is an example of a successful Latino citizen
