Legislator, Ken Jenkins- 16th District
Ken Jenkins, a leader in Democratic politics for nearly 15
years, won his 16th District legislative seat with 81% of the
vote in a special election held on February 13, 2007. Ken is the
current Chairman of the Yonkers Democratic Committee and
Vice-Chairman of the Black Democrats of Westchester. He has
served on the Executive Committee of the Westchester County
Democratic Committee for several years.

County Legislator, José Alvarado,17th
District
José Alvarado was first elected county legislator for the 17th District
of Southwest Yonkers in 2001, earning him the distinction of becoming
Westchester’s first Hispanic/Latino county legislator. In his three
terms on the County Board, Mr. Alvarado has served on several committees
including Public Works, Transportation, Labor & Parks; Community
Affairs; and, Seniors. He was elected by his peers to serve as the
Democratic caucus’ Majority Whip. Currently, County Legislator Alvarado
is chairman of the powerful Budget & Appropriations Committee. |

President, Chuck Lesnick
As City Council President, Chuck Lesnick is dedicated to bringing
accountability, transparency, ingenuity and honest leadership to
Yonkers. Chuck works for a more open government of qualified
professionals. He is dedicated to fixing wasteful government spending to
help insure the future prosperity of The City of Yonkers. |

Wilson Terrero- 2nd District City Council
In the City of Yonkers he saw a great need to start an organization that
would bring educational and cultural programs to Latinos in the
community. So, in 2003, he founded ACDY (Dominican Cultural Association
of Yonkers, Inc.). Under his leadership, the organization is creating
and implementing programs that are mobilizing Latinos to engage and
participate in their community. One of the programs that he is very
proud of is the Arts and Crafts for low-income children between the ages
of 9 and 13. |

Mario DeGiorgio,4th
Council Member A 26 year
resident of Yonkers. In the past 25 years he’s been a
district leader and activist. Mario brings with him 33 years of business
experience dealing with NYC government at all levels .He
is the president of
the hub third avenue BID . He is a two time past president of the
Kiwanis and six time past president of the Italian City Club of Yonkers.
Mario is also a member of CIAO. Mario will fight for what is
right, he will always listen and be available. He say’s what he means
and means what he say’s Mario will be right for
Yonkers
.And its time a real change.

County Executive Andy Spano
Whether in government, politics or education, County Executive Andy
Spano has always been a leader with vision, recognized nationally for
his groundbreaking accomplishments.
As County Executive he brought Westchester into the national spotlight
with innovations that benefited local residents and served as models for
the country. As County Clerk, he revolutionized the clerk’s office,
gaining national recognition as an advocate for reengineering government
to save tax dollars and provide better services. As an educator, he
helped to found the United Federation of Teachers, the largest, most
prestigious teachers union in the nation.

Westchester County Clerk Tim
Idoni
Tim Idoni has an impressive record of over
twenty-seven years of public service throughout Westchester County.
Currently, Tim serves as the Westchester County Clerk a position in
which he not only manages and safeguards all of the county land records,
but also serves as the Clerk of the Supreme and Westchester County
Courts. Tim's other responsibilities as Westchester County Clerk include
overseeing the licensing of plumbers and electricians, the facilitation
of passport applications, and the naturalization of new citizens. In the
County Clerk's Office, Tim is known for his hands-on management style,
his willingness to work with his partners in government to improve
constituent service, and his understanding of the benefits of innovative
technological solutions

District Attorney Janet DiFiore
District Attorney Janet DiFiore has dedicated her career to public
service as both a former Judge and prosecutor in Westchester County.
District Attorney DiFiore served for more than ten years as an Assistant
District Attorney in Westchester County and for the last four and one
half years of her service as a prosecutor, DA DiFiore served as Chief of
Narcotics coordinating drug enforcement and prosecution efforts within
Westchester County on behalf of local, state and federal law enforcement
agencies. |
